Airpura Specific Chemicals Air Purifier — V600 & V700

I struggle with a severe susceptibility for fungal infections and also allergies to pollen. The wildfire smoke for the last few summers made it very hard for me to breath, and I would wake up 5-6 times each night with my sinuses totally blocked and coughing. I did a bunch of research into air purifiers to see if I might find a little relief, and saw that many reviews were quite positive. I quickly eliminated the inexpensive purifiers so prevalent in big box stores and online retailers (not enough volume to be effective), and dug deeper into professional grade purifiers. Eventually I settled on Airpura, and purchased three for my 3,600 Sq Ft home. I put a V714 with the Super Gas option upstairs, and the same downstairs in our finished walkout basement, and added a V414 with the same option to my office. These things completely changed my life in two days! I was really skeptical, it was a big investment for us, but it turns out that this was one of the best decisions I ever made. I now sleep through the night, cough is gone, and I have much more energy throughout the day....I really didn't realize how poor sleep was affecting me. We run the 714s on high all night and at 50% power during the day ...they are not loud, but can be a little distracting on high while watching a movie. We also keep our ceiling fans on low all the time to help with air circulation. Our electric bill went up about $9/month, but that's fine given the huge improvement in quality of life. All I can say is that if you, like me, are skeptical, don't be. These things work!

This unit has helped immensely with major off-gassing we've had after some home remodeling. Very thankful these exist & won't hesitate to buy another if needed.

We’ve done just about everything over the years to combat dog smell. We have teeny tiny dogs but they still make dog smells. I looked at the competitors mainly focusing on carbon bed purifiers to handle ammonia from potty pads. I also have an African Grey and they create substantial tiny dust particles that coat *everything*. To make that even worse, I vape after quitting cigarettes (never smoked inside though) so between the vaping and just my parrot, every surface in my room is essentially tarred and feathered (no pun intended) with bird dust. They aren’t as bad as Cockatoos but still, they are making dust as small as talcum powder. I initially planned to do a larger carbon bed purifier and an added Blast Mk2 for high CADR HEPA only for the bird but with multiple areas of potty zones I opted to go for the smaller carbon bed and True HEPA in the 714 series first. Knowing I could swap out for a different carbon blend or even move to the high carbon quantity and add the Blast Mk2 later if need be, saved me another $1100. What began this entire thing is I have a Co2 sensor in my animal incubator for wildlife rehabilitation and it woke me up at 2am with an alarm that the Co2 hit 5000ppm!! I added a Vornado Transom fan until we get our new ERV/Fresh Air system installed and that brought it down but still well over 4400ppm. The Airpura shipment arrived today and after just 30 minutes, the Co2 level was at 2200. I’m not sure if the sensor itself is reading properly but whatever is causing that kind of level of anything cannot be good for us or our beloved pets. My husband was shocked to walk in and not be able to find even a trace of ammonia/pee smell. The two competitors I looked at I quickly narrowed down to just one due to the one having QC issues being widely reported on Reddit and other places people discuss actual air quality. My final decision was made when reading the manual of the one remaining competition and seeing it needs to be fully inverted to even access the pre-filter, and with this many dogs combined with being legitimately bedridden (meaning my caretaker would need to help with it). I was really leaning that direction because of the CFM when a $200 motor upgrade is added but I am really glad I found out about the pre-filter before purchasing. The Airpura has a better fan geometry designed for quieter operation. It is also visually more appealing. The competition with the 700CFM motor doesn’t advertise the dB but it is listed “not for bedroom” use and suited toward industrial applications. With my dB meter, the Airpura 714 with Super Gas 600 Carbon is sitting right at 62dB. It does not drone about or hit a bad frequency, and the spin up on the motor is gradual. On low, I can’t even hear it, and on medium, I can’t hear it over my pedestal fans I keep on 24/7. The powder coating is nicely done, the packaging is secure, shipping was precisely as estimated. IF I HAD to nitpick: I would prefer the caster plates weren’t riveted on because I won’t be having it on the floor (need to be able to get to it with my physical limitations), and I wish I had realized ahead of time to take a photo of the first one we opened before taking it out of the box for the serial number for the warranty registration. That one’s on me, but it’d be pretty cool if those cards were pre-printed or stickered with the product details just for ease of registration later. TLDR; Fit and finish is superb. Clearly designed and manufactured with pride and a very nice aesthetic with various colors to coordinate with one’s decor. ZERO dog pee smell with an ark full of animals who use potty pads in both a large and a small space. Fan is SILENT on low and on high it does not settle into a womp-womp frequency. Airflow design is superior, many carbon blends available to address specific issues, True HEPA in the 14 series and upgradable platform for future needs changes. Potentiometer dial and power button are both stainless mounted to the control panel. Overall, it’s a BEAST up against any urine odor that tends to linger even with daily potty pad changes. You won’t be disappointed.

Shipped & delivered on time, no issues. The V400 is sturdy & runs well. It’s the most important appliance in our apartment; & it runs on medium or low all through the night in our bedroom & gets pulled out into the family room during the day. Best tool for health in apartment living & best investment.

I have had this unit for a couple of weeks now and it has excited my expectations! I did a lot of research and bought this unit because it- -Filters wildfire smoke well. -Has 8 lbs Activated & Enhanced Carbon (good for fine smoke and VOC's). -Powerful yet quiet fan. -Small size. I'm looking to buy the 700 series for downstairs in the near future since I like this unit so much!

Very happy with my purchase of this machine to protect my family. With air quality getting worse, we wanted a compact unit that provided serious protection. This is it! Glad we made the purchase

I bought three of these in Dec 2024 when my flooring was refinished, one for each bedroom. It's been a life-saver, being able to live in our house while VOCs are gassing off downstairs, knowing the rooms are clear of chemicals - no smell at all - because of these amazing air purifiers. We leave them on all the time. One of them, however, is oddly louder than the other two, and not sure why.

This unit is actually smaller than I thought it would be and it is really well put together and sturdy. I don't see any visible dust floating in the air when I have it on, like I normally do.

I have the V700 versions of these machines, but needed something for a bedroom and quieter than the V700. These are perfect. I highly recommend this brand. I've done extensive research before choosing this brand.

After moving into our new build home, I was struggling with the chemicals off gassing from all the new materials. This air filter worked great to clean the air in our home and I noticed I wasn't feeling sick from the chemicals anymore. I use it now also when air quality is bad from the wildfire smoke.

One year our "chemically-sensitive" daughter's classroom at school had problematic air quality. We negotiated with the school, asking if we could provide an air filter for that classroom, and the principal and the teacher agreed. This is the filter we bought. It was placed in a corner of the room, running quietly, and solved the air quality problem. In fact, the teacher told us she appreciated the clean air. Later on, we used the filter in a small, mildly moldy rental house we stayed in for several months. This filter cleared the moldy smell and kept the mold gas and spores from becoming a health problem. Now we have the filter in our livingroom at home. Our four-bedroom (1800 sq. ft.) house is about sixty years old and has a less-than-pleasant "old house smell." We run the filter at a high speed overnight and turn it down to a quiet low setting during the day. It reduces the "old house smell" to a hardly-noticeable minimum. We also have four dogs and the filter prevents the house from smelling "doggy." We're very pleased with this filter's performance, especially its ability to clean the air in a very large area! We 're very glad we bought it and feel it was a great investment.

We've been using the V600 since mid-2020, and so far we're quite happy with it's performance. I'm sensitive to odors and off-gassing smells, and I believe this machine really makes a difference. While not very quiet, I don't find the sound it make to be disturbing at all. In fact, I find it pleasant to fall asleep to. All-in-all, a good system for your home or office.
