Cold Plunge

Cold exposure works through repetition, not intensity. Nobody builds a habit around something that takes half an hour to prepare. These are built so the plunge is the only part that asks anything of you.

Frequently asked questions

Why do people cold plunge?
Cold water immersion is a long-standing recovery practice. People build it around training, for the alertness that follows a plunge, and as a daily discipline. It is a wellness practice, and it is worth talking to your doctor first if you have a heart condition.
What temperature, and for how long?
Common starting points are 10 to 15 degrees Celsius (50 to 59 Fahrenheit) for 2 to 5 minutes. Colder is not automatically better. Consistency is what most people are really after. Our cold plunge guide covers protocol in detail.
How often should you cold plunge?
Most people settle at 3 to 5 short sessions a week. Recovery-focused plungers time sessions away from strength training, since some research suggests plunging immediately after lifting may blunt the training signal.
Tub or full system?
The Frozin 400 tub works with ice, or with a chiller you can add later. The Complete System bundles the tub with active chilling and filtration so the water holds temperature on its own. If you plunge daily, the system saves real effort.
Can a cold plunge stay outside?
Yes, with a cover and a spot out of direct sun. A chiller-equipped system holds its set temperature regardless of season, which is what makes a garage or patio setup practical year round.
How do I keep the water clean?
A filtration setup plus regular water changes keeps a tub fresh. The Frozin Filtration System and replacement filters handle it, and each product page covers maintenance under How to Use.
Does cold pair with sauna?
Contrast sessions, alternating heat and cold, are a popular pattern, usually ending on cold for alertness or on heat for relaxation. The infrared sauna guide covers the heat side.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds?
Cold plunge equipment is among the categories that can qualify with a Letter of Medical Necessity, decided per order by an independent licensed provider through Truemed at checkout. See the HSA and FSA page.
