Airpura Airborne Chemicals Air Purifier — C600 & C700

Sale price$1,049.98
  • Clears what particle filters miss, a deep carbon bed adsorbs chemicals, gases, VOCs
  • HEPA-Barrier stage captures 95% of particles down to 1 micron
  • No plastic off-gassing into your air, the housing is all steel
Twenty-six pounds of carbon, three inches deep. Why that matters

The depth of a carbon bed decides how long air stays in contact with it, and more contact time means more gets adsorbed. This runs 26 lb in a bed up to 3 inches deep, impregnated so it grabs chemical families plain carbon lets pass. Behind it a HEPA-Barrier filter takes the particles. Blends can be matched to more than 4,000 airborne chemicals.

It adsorbs airborne chemicals, gases, and particles from room air; it is not a medical device and does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Recommended pairing

The carbon bed adsorbs the chemicals, gases, and VOCs, and it saturates with use. Keeping a genuine replacement on hand lets you swap it every 18 to 24 months and hold full adsorption capacity.

Description

You take more than 20,000 breaths a day, and the air inside your home is the exposure you can most directly control. The Airpura Airborne Chemicals is the workhorse of the line for chemical and gas filtration.

A deep activated-carbon bed adsorbs the chemical compounds and odors that particle filtration leaves behind, while a HEPA-Barrier stage captures 95% of airborne particles down to 1 micron. The DLX tier adds a larger carbon weight tuned for volatile organic compounds at higher concentrations, which also means more adsorption capacity and longer filter life.

Choose 600 for spaces up to roughly 2,000 square feet, or 700 for up to roughly 2,500. Built in an all-steel housing with no off-gassing plastic, made in Canada, and engineered to run continuously. It anchors the Elevate layer of the Kove stack: the environment you recover in.

Key details

Airpura Airborne Chemicals Air Purifier (C600 & C700) is a chemical and VOC air purifier with a deep bed of activated carbon. It covers up to 2,000 sq ft at 560 CFM on the 600 and 635 CFM free-flow on the 700. The carbon stage holds 26 lb of impregnated activated carbon, 3 in deep on the 600 and 2 in on the 700, ahead of a 306 sq in HEPA-Barrier post filter. The 700 draws 120W on high and 40W on low at 30.2 to 63.0 dB. The all-metal housing measures 23 × 15 in and weighs 45 lb.

It is built for rooms where the concern is chemicals and VOCs.

Why it earns a place in the stack. Your environment is the Elevate layer of the stack, and this workhorse closes its most overlooked gap: the chemicals, gases, and VOCs that particle filters leave behind. A deep activated-carbon bed adsorbs them while a HEPA-Barrier stage takes the particles, all inside an all-steel housing that adds no plastic off-gassing to the room it is cleaning.

We used 2 of these in our department. This filter gives me the peace of mind that we are breathing better air quality. Thank you

great for newly renovated home

Purchased this purifier after moving into a newly renovated apartment and experiencing breathing difficulties due to the chemical offgassing. I found it very helpful, especially with fumes from the new carpeting. It would be great if the unit had some kind of indicator of when the filter must be changed, though. In my experience (probably due to using it in an environment with higher than average levels of chemicals) the filter did need to be replaced earlier than within 24 months, but the only way I was able to tell that was when it began producing an odor and seemed to be offgassing what it had previously adsorbed. I would have preferred to replace the filter before this started happening. Otherwise a great unit.

Great Household Air Filter

We've had this purifier for 3 years and have loved it. We are not MCS but are sensitive to household chemicals from cleaners, carpets, paint, etc. We can tell when the filter is going, it works that well. Works for cooking smells as well.

Best Air Purifier

I got my first C600 on April-2014 and my second one on March-2015. I have one in my basement and the other on my first floor, they both has been performing at a great level. Air is much better in the home. I highly recommend this company very professional and dedicated to provide the best to their clients. keep in mind the filters have to be replace every 12 months and 24 months to keep them working at high performance.

Our approach

Every product earns its place.

No single thing changes your biology on its own. What matters is the system, and whether each piece earns its place. Here is how a device makes it into Kove.

01

Start with the evidence

Where there is research behind how something works, we read it. We look at the real mechanism a device relies on, like the wavelength, the frequency, or the dose, and whether the evidence holds up. Substance comes before marketing, and we are honest about how strong that evidence is.

02

Separate mechanism from marketing

A claim is not a mechanism. We check a device's real output against its stated one: does the panel emit the 660 and 850nm it advertises, at the irradiance that makes those numbers matter? The marketing language gets set aside. The measurable spec is what we judge.

03

Verify build and dose

Even a good idea does nothing if the hardware is weak. We confirm the output is consistent, the dose is usable in a real daily routine, and the build holds up over years, because a device only helps if it lasts as long as the habit.

04

Held to one standard

What clears every step earns its place in the system, held to the same standard as everything else. That consistency is what you can count on.
