Red and near-infrared, 600 to 980 nm. Why that matters

Red light from 600 to 660 nm is absorbed close to the skin, while near-infrared from 810 to 980 nm passes deeper toward muscle and connective tissue. Because every LED on the Tri-Lite emits three wavelengths, the whole pad covers that range evenly, not in patches of one color. Worn against the body at 130 mW/cm² measured six inches out, with warmth underneath, the light arrives where you place it.

Depths shown are illustrative. Light and warmth support the body's normal recovery; they do not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Recommended pairing

The Thera360 Plus warms the whole body in a 20 to 30 minute sweat. Afterward the Tri-Lite puts red and near infrared light on the one knee, shoulder or stretch of back that still needs attention.

Description

The Tri-Lite is a flexible red and near infrared light pad, 13.5 by 9 inches, that bends to the body. Each of its 117 LEDs emits three wavelengths, together covering red at 600, 630 and 660 nm and near infrared at 810, 830, 850, 900, 910 and 980 nm, measured at 130 mW/cm² six inches out. Underneath the light, the pad warms to a preset 102.5°F.

Lay it across the lower back, curve it over a knee or shoulder, or rest it on your chest while you read. It runs from a USB power cube that works on 110V to 220V, the inline remote sets 30, 45 or 60 minutes or leaves it on, and it weighs 10.6 oz with its cord, light enough to pack. Two suction cups in the box let you mount it on smooth glass when you would rather sit facing it.

Why it earns a place in the stack. A rigid panel lights whatever faces it. The Tri-Lite bends, so the light and its steady warmth wrap a knee, settle across the lower back or curve over a shoulder, and because it runs from a USB power cube, the same routine works at your desk, at home or in a hotel room.

Our approach

Every product earns its place.

No single thing changes your biology on its own. What matters is the system, and whether each piece earns its place. Here is how a device makes it into Kove.

01

Start with the evidence

Where there is research behind how something works, we read it. We look at the real mechanism a device relies on, like the wavelength, the frequency, or the dose, and whether the evidence holds up. Substance comes before marketing, and we are honest about how strong that evidence is.

02

Separate mechanism from marketing

A claim is not a mechanism. We check a device's real output against its stated one: does the panel emit the 660 and 850nm it advertises, at the irradiance that makes those numbers matter? The marketing language gets set aside. The measurable spec is what we judge.

03

Verify build and dose

Even a good idea does nothing if the hardware is weak. We confirm the output is consistent, the dose is usable in a real daily routine, and the build holds up over years, because a device only helps if it lasts as long as the habit.

04

Held to one standard

What clears every step earns its place in the system, held to the same standard as everything else. That consistency is what you can count on.
