Eight colors, from purple to near-infrared. Why that matters

Different colors of light are absorbed at different depths. Purple and blue at the short end are taken up near the surface, red at 620 to 630 nm reaches a little further, and near-infrared at 845 to 855 nm goes deepest. Having eight in one mask means you can change what your skin receives without changing devices, and the flexible shell keeps every LED close to the face so less light is lost to the air.

Depths shown are illustrative. Light supports the skin's normal renewal; it does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Description

The TheraGlow Mask2Go is a soft, flexible LED face mask with eight light modes, from red at 620 to 630 nm and infrared at 845 to 855 nm through blue, green, yellow, cyan, purple and white. Its 88 LED bead sets (352 chips) sit inside silicone and surgical grade polymer that bends to the face, so the light lands evenly across the forehead, cheeks and jaw. Two adjustable straps hold it in place while you read or rest.

A pocket controller sets the mode, three intensity levels and a session of 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 minutes, then switches the mask off when time is up. It charges in about two and a half hours and runs for roughly 70 minutes between charges, and the mask itself weighs 6.2 oz, light enough to pack for a trip. Therasage suggests three to five sessions a week for four weeks as one full cycle.

Why it earns a place in the stack. Most LED masks give you one or two colors. The Mask2Go puts eight in a soft mask that rests against the skin, run from a controller small enough for a bag, so the routine comes with you on the road and still fits into ten minutes at home.

Our approach

Every product earns its place.

No single thing changes your biology on its own. What matters is the system, and whether each piece earns its place. Here is how a device makes it into Kove.

01

Start with the evidence

Where there is research behind how something works, we read it. We look at the real mechanism a device relies on, like the wavelength, the frequency, or the dose, and whether the evidence holds up. Substance comes before marketing, and we are honest about how strong that evidence is.

02

Separate mechanism from marketing

A claim is not a mechanism. We check a device's real output against its stated one: does the panel emit the 660 and 850nm it advertises, at the irradiance that makes those numbers matter? The marketing language gets set aside. The measurable spec is what we judge.

03

Verify build and dose

Even a good idea does nothing if the hardware is weak. We confirm the output is consistent, the dose is usable in a real daily routine, and the build holds up over years, because a device only helps if it lasts as long as the habit.

04

Held to one standard

What clears every step earns its place in the system, held to the same standard as everything else. That consistency is what you can count on.
