- Two light brush heads, red or blue, each paired with near infrared
- Paces a full 2 minute brush, with a cue every 30 seconds
- Four modes, including a gentle setting for sensitive teeth and gums
- Up to 4 weeks between charges, easy to pack for travel
Red, blue and near-infrared, 460 to 830 nm. Why that matters
Blue light at 460 nm stays right at the surface, red at 660 nm is absorbed a little deeper in soft tissue, and near infrared at 830 nm passes further still. Building the LEDs into the brush head keeps the light at the gumline for the full two minutes, a spot a panel or wand cannot reach inside the mouth.
Depths shown are illustrative. Light supports the body's normal processes; it does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Description
The TheraSmile is a sonic toothbrush with light built into the brush head. It comes with two heads: one pairs 660 nm red with 830 nm near infrared, the other pairs 460 nm blue with the same near infrared, and each has six LEDs that switch on whenever you brush. Three of those six are near infrared and invisible to the eye, so only three lights show even though all six are running.
The handle runs at 31,000 rpm across four modes, Clean, Sensitive, Polish and White, and paces you through a 2 minute cycle with a cue every 30 seconds to move to the next quarter of your mouth. A full charge lasts up to 4 weeks of brushing twice a day, the handle is IPX7 rated for rinsing under the tap, and it remembers the last mode you used. It comes in black or white.
Is this right for you?
You'll get the most from it if
- You already brush twice a day and want light to come along with it.
- Your gums are on the sensitive side; Sensitive mode and soft bristles keep it gentle.
- You like a timer that paces each quarter of the mouth for you.
- You travel; one charge lasts up to 4 weeks.
Maybe look elsewhere if
- You were hoping for light on the face too; the TheraGlow Mask2Go is built for that.

Why it earns a place in the stack. Most light routines add another device and another ten minutes to the day. The TheraSmile folds red, blue and near infrared light into the two minutes you already spend brushing, with a sonic handle that times the routine for you. Swap heads to suit the day: red in the morning, blue at night.

Our approach
Every product earns its place.
No single thing changes your biology on its own. What matters is the system, and whether each piece earns its place. Here is how a device makes it into Kove.
01
Start with the evidence
Where there is research behind how something works, we read it. We look at the real mechanism a device relies on, like the wavelength, the frequency, or the dose, and whether the evidence holds up. Substance comes before marketing, and we are honest about how strong that evidence is.
02
Separate mechanism from marketing
A claim is not a mechanism. We check a device's real output against its stated one: does the panel emit the 660 and 850nm it advertises, at the irradiance that makes those numbers matter? The marketing language gets set aside. The measurable spec is what we judge.
03
Verify build and dose
Even a good idea does nothing if the hardware is weak. We confirm the output is consistent, the dose is usable in a real daily routine, and the build holds up over years, because a device only helps if it lasts as long as the habit.
04
Held to one standard
What clears every step earns its place in the system, held to the same standard as everything else. That consistency is what you can count on.
